Respite Services
Or as BDODS calls it HOLIDAYS
At BDODS holidays are an extension on your adventure day. Our specialized holiday packages are crafted to give you the ultimate break, combining rest, recreation, and respite in one seamless solution. All you need is STA (Short-Term Accommodation) or MTA (Medium-Term Accommodation) funding in your NDIS plan to get started.
We take into consideration
• Accessible Travel: Offering tailored travel packages that ensure accessibility needs are met, including wheelchair-friendly accommodations, transportation and guided tours.
• Interstate Trips: Planning and arranging interstate holidays that may include visiting family or taking part in recreational activities, such as going to accessible beaches, theme parks, or nature reserves.
• Travel Companions: Professional travel companions who provide care and support during the journey, ensuring the person’s health, mobility and safety needs are managed.
• Holiday Packages: Offering fully inclusive holiday packages designed for individuals with disabilities and their families. These could include pre-arranged accessible accommodation, sightseeing and organised leisure activities.
Personal care supports
At BDODS we understand personal care is just that; PERSONAL.
You can rest assured at BDODS we provide support regarding personal care to ensure that you have the best adventure with limited disruptions.
Types of service will be discussed with you and regularly reviewed to ensure we are meeting your needs. Personal care supports may be undertaken in a variety of settings including in-home (before you go) or while on your big day out adventure.
Personal care services include:
• Personal hygiene; including showering, bathing, oral hygiene, dressing and grooming
• Toileting; bladder and bowel management
• Eating and drinking
• Use of aids and appliances, hearing and communication devices
• Mobility and transferring, for example moving in and out wheelchair
Transport Services
Medical appointments, shopping excursions, social gatherings, and family functions offer numerous opportunities for engagement. Even if you have relinquished your car keys, reaching your desired destinations need not be difficult. Our transportation services guarantee that you travel from point A to point B safely, promptly and comfortably.
